About Me
About Me
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) providing trauma‑focused therapy, EMDR therapy, and DBT for adults throughout California, based in San Mateo County in the Bay Area.
My clinical work began in 2009 in addiction treatment, where I saw how substance use often develops in response to deeper emotional pain, unresolved trauma, and long‑standing coping patterns. That experience led me to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which offered clients the structure, skills, and emotional regulation tools needed to stabilize and rebuild. Over time, I noticed a consistent theme: nearly every client carried some form of trauma — from single painful experiences to the quieter, cumulative moments that shape how we think, feel, and relate.
This recognition brought me to EMDR therapy and the trauma‑focused work I do today. I specialize in helping high‑functioning adults who appear steady on the outside but privately struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, self‑criticism, or long‑standing patterns they can’t seem to break. Many of my clients describe feeling stuck, exhausted, or disconnected despite doing everything they can to keep life moving. My approach integrates EMDR therapy with DBT skills to support both immediate coping and deeper, long‑term healing.
Whether you’re navigating complex trauma, high‑functioning anxiety, relationship patterns, chronic stress, emotional exhaustion, or low self‑worth, I offer a space where you don’t have to hold everything together. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I focus on helping you understand the “why” behind your patterns while giving you practical tools to support the present. Therapy with me is paced and attuned to your nervous system — safe, steady, and sustainable.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: healing becomes possible when you have a supportive therapeutic relationship, evidence‑based tools, and a space where all parts of you are welcome.
I offer online trauma therapy for adults across California, making it easier to access consistent, trauma‑informed care from wherever you are. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, reduce internal overwhelm, and build a life that feels calmer, more spacious, and aligned with who you truly are.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, golf, reading, and time with family, friends, my husband, and our 8‑year‑old German Shepherd rescue. I value a balanced, grounded life and believe deeply in sustainable self‑care — the kind that supports both joy and steadiness.
If you feel ready to begin this work, I welcome you to reach out.
My Approach
I use a trauma‑informed, integrative approach grounded in evidence‑based treatments, including EMDR therapy and DBT skills. Sessions move at a steady, supportive pace so your nervous system has room to stay regulated while we explore the roots of anxiety, emotional overwhelm, reactivity, or long‑standing patterns. My work is collaborative and attuned, helping you build the capacity to feel more regulated, connected, and aligned with yourself as you move toward lasting change, healing at the root.
My Values
I value thoughtful, attuned care that honors your pace and your lived experience. My work is grounded in clarity, integrity, and a deep respect for the nervous system’s capacity to heal.
