About Me

About Me

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) providing EMDR therapy and DBT for adults in San Mateo County and across California. I offer online therapy, making consistent care easier to access.

I started my clinical work 17 years ago in 2009 in addiction treatment, where it became clear that substance use was often a response to deeper pain and unresolved trauma. That early work led me to offering a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program to teach individuals practical skills that increased their confidence in managing their day-to-day life. After seeing my clients stabilize, I could still see and hear the wounding underneath, which is what led me to EMDR therapy as the next step that could powerfully help in someone’s journey.

I’m especially drawn to EMDR therapy because I’ve seen, again and again, how people begin to soften toward themselves when old wounds finally shift. Watching someone move from self‑criticism to genuine self‑respect and self-love is one of the most meaningful parts of this work.

My style is warm and collaborative. I offer a space that is respectful of you and your pace, moving at a pace that feels safe for your nervous system — steady, attuned, and not rushed. I believe healing happens when you have a supportive therapeutic relationship, evidence‑based tools, and room for all parts of you to be seen and welcomed non-judgmentally.

I value thoughtful, attuned care that honors your lived experience. My work is grounded in clarity, integrity, and a deep respect for the nervous system’s capacity to heal.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, golf, reading, and time with family, friends, my husband, and our 8‑year‑old German Shepherd rescue. I value a balanced, grounded life and believe deeply in sustainable self‑care.

If you feel ready to begin this work, I welcome you to reach out.
